Basic Policies

 At Nakamura choukou, we have based our "Charter of Business Conduct" and "Standards of Business Conduct" on the management principles of "effort, action, and creativity." This is so all directors and employees at Nakamura choukou Group will follow a series of fundamental steps while performing business activities, as we strive to earn society's trust.
All of our directors and employees, myself included, are working together in unison to follow and carry out this "Charter of Business Conduct" and "Standards of Business Conduct," in order to take on the social responsibilities of a capable business.

Charter of Business Conduct

As a socially-responsible business, we will follow all relevant rules and regulations, and use sound judgment while performing the following actions.

  • Using our creative and unique methods of technological development, we will work to develop safe, high-quality products, in order to satisfy our customers and earn their trust.
  • We will follow social norms and regulations, and make proper dealings while participating in fair, transparent, and free competition. We will maintain healthy, normal relationships with political and governmental entities.
  • We will actively disclose accurate corporate information to our shareholders, customers, employees, and society in general.
  • We will work to provide a safe, comfortable work environment while respecting the diversity, character, and uniqueness of our employees.
  • We will recognize that our efforts toward environmental issues are mandatory for us to exist and act as a business, and will always work to conserve the environment.
  • We aim to be a good corporate citizen by carrying out activities that will actively and positively contribute to society.
  • Any antisocial forces that pose a threat to the order and safety of our civil society will be dealt with in a resolute manner.
  • When overseas, as a member of the international community, we will follow international rules and local regulations, respect local customs and manners, and perform business activities that will enhance the local community in this respect.
  • Our top management will recognize their role in the spirit of this charter, set an example through leadership, and keep everyone well-informed within Nakamura choukou Group. Moreover, top management will perform communication in and outside of the company through an effective company system, and thoroughly carry out corporate ethics.
  • If an action occurs that is in conflict with this charter, top management will clarify their own methods of solving the issue both in and outside of the company, work to clarify the cause and prevent it from occurring again, swiftly and accurately disclose related information to the public, ensure accountability, clarify authority and responsibility, and take swift action toward the responsible party, including themselves.

Standards of Business Conduct

These standards are based on the "Charter of Business Conduct," and should guide the daily actions of all directors and employees at Nakamura choukou.

Regarding Business Activities

  • [Provide top quality and service]
    We will provide safe, high-quality products based on the philosophy of "contributing to the improvement of added value to our client companies through quality."
  • [Make deals based on equality, fairness, and transparency]
    We will perform deals with all of our business partners based on equality, fairness, and transparency
  • [Protect and respect intellectual property rights]
    We will respect the rights and assets of others, including intellectual property rights, and will not infringe upon them.
  • [Client entertainment and gifts]
    We will treat all business partners with the proper respect and hospitality. As for entertainment and gifts in return, we will determine whether the financial amount or frequency is within the range of social norms, and make a strict judgment of whether or not they are appropriate in regards to the deal situation.
  • [Consider environmental issues during business activities]
    Resources and energy will be utilized efficiently, and business activities will be performed while taking environmental concerns into consideration.

Regarding Company/Society Relationships

  • [Disclose information]
    In order to keep our shareholders, investors, and clients fully informed, information will be periodically and appropriately disclosed regarding the company management situation and general business activities.
  • [Proper accounting procedures]
    Laws and company regulations concerning accounting will be strictly adhered to, accounting procedures will be carried out swiftly and appropriately, and we will work to increase transparency in management.
  • [Social responsibility]
    Any antisocial forces that pose a threat to the order and safety of our civil society will be dealt with in a resolute manner, and unwarranted demands will be decisively rejected.
  • [Contribute to the local community]
    Each of our directors and employees are aware of their roles as members of society, and will sincerely interact with others to contribute to the local community as good citizens.

Regarding company/employee relationships

  • [Respect human rights and prohibit discrimination]
    We will respect the fundamental human rights of each and every employee, and will not discriminate based on race, creed, or gender.
  • [Prohibit harassment]
    We will not engage in any forms of harassment which will damage one's personal dignity, based on gender, position, status, etc. (such as sexual harassment, abuse of authority, etc.)
  • [Protect privacy]
    We will respect the privacy of others, taking great care when dealing with an employee's personal information to manage it appropriately.
  • [Follow employment regulations etc.]
    We will follow statutes and regulations within the company, including employment regulations.
  • [Maintain and ensure a clean, comfortable workplace environment]
    We will always work to keep the workplace clean and organized, to maintain and ensure a clean, comfortable workplace environment.

Regarding company/property relationships

  • [Manage information properly]
    Information obtained on the job will be thoroughly managed, and we will work to prevent the leakage of sensitive and personal information.
  • [Prohibit conflicts of interest]
    We will not participate in conflicts of interest under any circumstances.
  • [Prevent insider deals]
    Inside information obtained on the job will not be used illegally under any circumstances for personal or third party benefits.
  • [Use and manage company assets correctly]
    All company assets will be used and managed efficiently and appropriately, allotted and presented with a goal of carrying out work tasks.

Performance

  • Range of application
    These "Basic Compliance Policies," along with the "Charter of Business Conduct" and "Standards of Business Conduct," apply to all directors and employees at Nakamura choukou Group.
  • Fostering fixed activities and work climate
    We fully understand the importance of compliance, and continue to conduct compliance training based on the "Charter of Business Conduct," to make sound judgments and actions in the workplace.
  • Whistle-blowing and discussion
    If you discover any actions which are or may be in conflict with the "Charter of Business Conduct" or "Standards of Business Conduct," please report or discuss the incident with the whistle-blowing division, either through your superior or directly.
  • Penalties
    Those who breach, or refrain from reporting a breach of the "Charter of Business Conduct" or "Standards of Business Conduct" will be punished accordingly, based on company regulations.
